TORONTO -- For the third time in as many years the City of Toronto has launched a new city-branded condom wrapper.
These new condom wrappers feature the now infamous Toronto sign at Nathan Phillips Square which has become a staple in the city since it was created for the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am games.
These new condoms, dubbed condomTO, have been designed to help promote safer sex and reduce the stigma of condom use.
Prior to launching this brand the city previously released two other designs to coincide with other major events like World Pride in 2014, and the Pan Am/Parapan Am games in 2015, that were held in the city.
"Since 1983, as part of its mandate, Toronto Public Health (TPH) has been promoting and distributing condoms to community agencies and health organizations across the city," said Ward 21 councilor and Chair of the Board of Health Joe Mihevc. "I look forward to the success of this year's initiative."
To find these new branded condoms visit any of the TPH sexual health clinics across the city, or any partner agencies.
To also promote condomTO, TPH will be distributing branded bicycle seat covers as a fun initiative which displays the message "wrap it and ride."
