ONTARIO -- The Government of Ontario is engaging more students by bringing local technology to the classroom.
AdvancingEducation is a partnership between Ontario and the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) where cutting-edge technology helps to meet the needs of different education all the way to postsecondary.
Improving access to technology in the classroom will allow students to build on these skills, preparing them to succeed now and in the future," Mitzie Hunter Minister of Education.
The program will support projects that meet the needs of students, and provide better teaching oppportunities.
Engaging students is believed to be able to create more jobs and grow the economy.
The province will contribute $2.7-million to this initiative, and OCE is accepting applications for funding until Jan. 23, 2017.
