Starting at 12 p.m., the celebration kicks off with live horse racing until 3 p.m., when the family patio party starts featuring a barbeque, face painting, food trucks, a video game asylum (mobile gaming), and more.
Live entertainment includes The Drifters, performing hits like Stand by Me. Also performing will be FlameOz a fire show that Festivals and Events Coordinator Stacy Chong calls an “unforgettable awe-inspiring experience.”
The night will wrap up with a fireworks display.
The Town of Ajax encourages families to leave the car at home if they’re coming down to the Canada Day celebrations, and instead use the free shuttle service being provided.
The shuttle will arrive every 20 minutes at four locations which include: Ajax Go Station parking lot, J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate (1355 Harwood Ave, N.), Ajax Town Hall (65 Harwood Ave, S.), and the RioCan Walmart Plaza (270 Kingston Rd, E.).
